Shaping the Future of AI Ethics in Delhi
In New Delhi, I had the pleasure of delivering a public lecture at the India Habitat Centre, hosted by the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS). The room was filled with diplomats, scholars, and policy experts, all eager to engage in a forward-looking conversation on Artificial Intelligence and ethics.
I shared UNESCO’s landmark achievement: the global ethical framework on AI, endorsed by 194 countries. With over 70 nations now actively strengthening their capacities, it stands as a model of effective multilateralism in action.
As I closed the lecture, I reflected on the guiding pillars that continue to shape my vision—the “3 I’s”: Inclusiveness, Innovation, and Impact. I called for renewed collective efforts to ensure technology remains a force for good—anchored in human rights and our shared global values.
